Repair, Exchange or Credit Policy
Warranties need to be assessed and this will require the manufacturer or distributor to be contacted. The product will also need to be returned to allow us to evaluate the warranty request and process your warranty as quickly as possible.
If the item cannot be fixed & they agree that a product is defective and needs to be replaced or repaired, return shipping back to the customer will be arranged at our expense with the new/repaired product. If you have a minor problem with the goods than you may be entitled to our choice of repair, exchange or credit depending on the circumstances.
Under no circumstances orders will be accepted for refund/exchange without prior contacting the store via email. If you send an item back without contacting the store it will be held till freight is paid and it will be returned to the customer. Obsessiondive@bigpond.com
Freight will need to be posted back to PO BOX 4639 Sylvania Waters NSW 2224. Please inc your name & order number.
Please contact us via email with photos if:
- The item that arrived to you is damaged.
- The incorrect item was sent to you.
All items must be thoroughly inspected on delivery and any damages must be reported to store via email with photos within 2 days of receiving. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you an exchange.
All suppliers will not warranty any DIVE GEAR that is broken or damaged due to misuse. For example: Any product damaged by hitting a sandbar, reef, rock, or any other type of damage that is NOT a manufacturing defect.
Misuse, neglect, modification, fair wear damages caused by use, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorized repairs, by careless transport, modifications, accidents, or normal wear and aging.
Cosmetic damage(s), such as scratches, nicks and fraying are not covered under warranty.
To be eligible for an exchange your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
It must also be in the original packaging.
Any expenses relating to the return of your product to store will be paid by the customer. Freight will NOT be covered by the store for refunds/exchanges. *You will also be subject to a 3% re stocking fee. This is a fee charge by shopify.
If the item is inspected and has been USED a refund/exchange will NOT be available and item sent back to the customer at customers expense.
Any items out of the CLEARANCE section on the site are strictly no exchange/refunds.
No exchanges or refunds on gift cards.
You will NOT be entitled to Refund, Repair, Exchange or Credit if:
• You change your mind or decide you do not like your purchase.
• Damage or use goods in an unreasonable unintended manner, due to abuse, tampering, lack of maintenance.
• Had a defect drawn to your attention before buying (such as goods labeled as Demo or Clearance with their faults marked)
• You do not have proof of purchase/invoice (bank statement not accepted.) The warranty from the manufacture has expired (12 months in Aust)
It is important for us to establish that claims made about our goods are genuine and that you originally purchased the goods from us. You must present your invoice (or a copy or photo of it). It is the customers responsibility to produce a receipt.
* Exchange/returns of goods for inspection does not include the costs of return postage
* You are responsible for the cost and the risk of returning the goods to us.
*PLEASE NOTE: Swimware such as Wetsuits are non returnable & no exchanges can be made item due to health & hygiene reasons. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are unsure of sizing please email the store prior to purchase with weight and height. Each item has a size chart.
Order Cancelling/returns
As long as the order has not been fulfilled, there is no problem with cancelling your order. However, a 3% fee of the cost of the total order will apply to cover fee's charged to us from shopify. This will be paid by the customer & taken from the refund given to the customer.
